So, like many, I’ve thought long and hard about creating a blog! Where do I even begin? I live a rather unconventional life, it has been that way since the moment I first drew breath on this planet. Now, in my late(ish) thirties with two children of my own, studying in Trinity full time, I now look back on my life and try to extract all of the good from what I always saw as bad. Also, I’m the queen of procrastination, so when I’m not studying, I can jot down here! One can never have enough distractions.
In a nutshell, my life before was fueled by a desire to fit in and inability to do so comfortably. I was raised by my maternal Grandparents, Jim and Nora, who were my parents in every sense but name. My father moved abroad to the USA when I was 2 and my mother to Australia when I was 5. There were marriages, divorces, addictions, rejections, illnesses and so many other influences that shaped my life. At times I felt like a victim of a life that I had no control of.
Life for me now is full of lessons, discovery and possibilities. I’m finally ready to repair or weed out the bad to make way for all of the good that may come. The driving forces for this come in the form of two little humans. The greatest little humans on the planet, if I do say so myself!
